Ten Hong Kong people were confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus when they cruised to the Diamond Princess cruise ship in quarantine in Yokohama, Japan. Member of the Democratic Alliance for the Betterment of Hong Kong (DAB), Zheng Yongshun, said that a request was received this morning. The Hong Kong people stated that his father was diagnosed with the infection. The Japanese authorities will later arrange for his father to go to the hospital for treatment, and his family can also accompany him.

However, Zheng Yongshun said that the helpers said that he was unable to understand the treatment because of verbal insufficiency. He expressed concern about this and hoped that the SAR Government could provide translation services.

Zheng Yongshun said that there are still more than 300 Hong Kong people on board.
