The Vocational Rehabilitation Project, organized by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in cooperation with the Society for the Rights of the Child in a number of eastern Ghouta areas of Damascus countryside, aims to qualify young people in a number of vocational fields that enhance their employment opportunities.
She said that the beneficiaries are trained in the various workshops of the project, which include the professions of shaving, cosmetics, carpentry, blacksmithing, aluminum, maintenance of electrical tools and maintenance of mobile phones, etc. These workshops are distributed in Kfarabtna, Ain Tarma, Hamouriyeh, Hazza and Jisreen.
She pointed out that the number of trainees in the first phase reached 80 trainees out of 450 trainees targeted by the project, where they are trained for three months and then provided with a professional bag to enable them to enter the labor market.
The young Ahmed Mahmoud Al Madani said that he is training in workshops on the installation of air conditioners and the maintenance of refrigerators while Walaa Diati said that she is undergoing practical training in the field of women's shaving, which made her excited to launch in her own project soon to achieve economic and social independence.
