DAMASCUS, (SANA) - The Damascus Securities Exchange (DSE) trading volume reached 5353849 shares during the second week of September

The volume of trading Damascus Stock Exchange during the second week of September 5353849 shares worth 1,905 billion pounds distributed among 501 transactions.

The main market index closed at 5918.97 points, down 99.35 points, a change of 1.65 percent from last week.The leading shares index closed at 972.38 points, down 39.28 points, or 3.88 percent, and 11 companies were traded on the shares of which four companies rose and shares of seven companies.

The shares of Al-Aqeelah Takaful Insurance Company rose by 0.89 percent and closed at 400.16 pounds and Byblos Bank by 10.16 percent and closed at 409.50 pounds and Sham Bank by 2.44 percent and closed at 603.60 pounds and Bank of Syria and the Gulf by 9.51 percent and closed at 369.05 pounds.

The lower stocks belong to Al Baraka Bank, Bank of Syria and Overseas, Fransabank, International Bank for Trade and Finance, Qatar National Bank, Syria International Islamic Bank, and Syriatel Mobile Telecom, while the other 15 companies listed on the market did not record any adjustment to their prices and closed equal to the previous closing prices.
