12 Palestinian martyrs were shot by the Israeli occupation last month

The report of the Center for Studies and Documentation of the Palestine Liberation Organization revealed that 12 Palestinians, including a child, were shot dead by the Israeli occupation, 630 Palestinians were injured and 450 others were arrested in the West Bank and Gaza Strip last month.

The report, quoted by Wafa Agency today, documented the martyrdom of 10 Palestinians shot by the Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip and two in the West Bank during the month of August, noting that the Israeli authorities have detained the bodies of five martyrs, bringing the number of martyrs whose bodies have been held since 2015 in a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.

The report pointed out that the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip during the last month resulted in the injury of 500 Palestinians during their participation in the marches of return and break the siege and the injury of about 130 Palestinians in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, due to violations of the occupation against Palestinians by storming their villages and towns, demolishing their homes and seizing their lands.

The report pointed out that the occupation authorities arrested during last month about 450 Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip and practiced harsh measures against the 5500 Palestinian prisoners, including 220 children and 43 women living in difficult conditions inside the detention centers and deprived of the most basic rights under international law.

The report pointed out that the Israeli occupation authorities demolished last August 25 houses and facilities in the West Bank, including 8 houses and 17 facilities, and demolitions concentrated in occupied Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Hebron, Tulkarem and the northern Jordan Valley. Israeli settlers carried out 103 attacks on Palestinians and their property, wounding 13 Palestinians, including three children, and carrying out two run-over attacks, injuring two children, firing and burning 660 dunums of Palestinian land.
