Al-Hasakah-Sana
1498 low-income workers have benefited from the loans of the Popular Credit Bank in Al-Hasakah governorate since the beginning of granting loans on July 1 last year.
The director of the bank's branch in Al-Hasakah, Muhammad Hakim Khalif, told SANA that the total amount of loans granted during the months of July, August and September amounted to one billion three hundred and fifty-four thousand Syrian pounds, which benefited low-income workers working in state institutions and public sector in the city of al-Hasakah exclusively.
Khalif said that the bank's branch has witnessed during the last period a great demand especially that he stopped granting loans for more than eight years, stressing the continuation of grant operations and receiving applications for those wishing to obtain loans, where the bank grants loans with a ceiling of one million Syrian pounds to be repaid over two years.
It is noteworthy that the majority of branches of banks operating in the province of Al-Hasakeh stopped granting loans during the past years for several reasons, mainly the interruption of Internet services and networking between branches and central administration.
