Four people have been killed and more than 1,500 evacuated by Spanish authorities in two days of heavy rain in southeastern Spain.
The body of a dead man was found in Granada today after his car was washed away on a highway and another died in Almeria as he tried to drive his vehicle in a flooded tunnel, the Spanish rescue agency said.
The floods caused the deaths of two brothers on Friday after torrential rains pulled their car, the agency said.
Spanish authorities have closed 74 roads, the Murcia train network and the city's airport.
The storm, described as the worst in a hundred years, led to a halt to traffic and trains, cut down trees and fences. Many people were rescued from rooftops and cars, and schools were closed today in the affected areas.
