A unit of the Syrian Arab Army, in cooperation with the competent authorities, found a mass grave for civilians and military personnel who were executed by terrorist groups in Mazar El-Ab area in Eastern Ghouta.

The head of the Military Police Branch in Damascus, Brigadier Mohamed Mansour said that, based on information from private sources, a mass grave was discovered in the Mazarat al-Ab area in the southeast of Douma, eastern Ghouta, for civilian and military bodies, including a woman handcuffed, who were executed by terrorist groups after their kidnapping and abuse, and placed most of them in one remarkable hole That the approximate number of bodies that have been recovered is about 70 martyrs, and their deaths go back to between the beginning of 2012 and 2014.

Mansour said that there is an extension of the mass grave and that tomorrow the martyrs will be completed in cooperation with the civil defense and taken to the Tishreen Military Hospital.

Dr. Ayman Khalo, a forensic doctor at Tishreen Military Hospital, pointed out that most of the remains recovered today were restricted and two were identified, and that the initial disclosure showed that most of them were executed by gunshots to the head and some were executed by cable indicating that the remains of the martyrs would be transported to take samples and compare them with the father And the mother in order to complete the legal procedures and try to identify the names of the martyrs and hand over the dead bodies to their families.

Major Firas Al-Khalaf from the Civil Defense indicated that, based on communication and coordination with the competent authorities, the civil defense teams went to the farms of playing in Eastern Ghouta and carried out digging in the area where a mass grave was found and nearly 70 bodies were removed, most of them handcuffed, indicating that work is continuing in the area To retrieve the remains of the martyrs, extract them and hand them over to the Medical Services Department to conduct the necessary medical examination and hand over the martyrs to their families.

The eastern Ghouta was liberated in all its towns and villages from the terrorist organizations on the 14th of April 2018 after all the terrorists from the city of Duma removed their last strongholds in the eastern Ghouta.
