Syrian striker Omar Al Soma has managed to hijack the top scorer of the joint qualifiers for the World Cup 2022 and the Asian Cup 2023, lifting his score for seven goals, a goal difference from the United Arab Emirates Ali Ahmed Mabkhout and two goals for the Chinese Yang Zou and Iranian Karim Ansari Fard.
Al-Soma led Syria yesterday to beat Guam at Maktoum Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Stadium in Dubai as part of the fourth round of Group A matches, scoring three of the four goals won by our team.
The striker scored Al Soma in all the national team games, scoring two goals against the Philippines and the Maldives, while a hat-trick against Guam.
Soma is considered one of the best Syrian strikers in recent years, especially after his brilliance with Saudi Al-Ahli, where he was crowned with several local titles and won the title of top scorer in the Saudi league for several consecutive times.
