(CNN) - Police in Halle, Germany, are tweeting that according to their initial information, two people have been killed.
“Several shots were fired. The suspects are fleeing with a vehicle. We are urgently investigating and are asking people to stay in their homes. ”
A Halle police press officer tells CNN that the incident happened near Humboldtstrasse, on the same street as a synagogue.
Thomas Mueller told CNN that several people were also injured, in addition to the two people killed, as indicated by police Twitter.
