Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schalenberg said that the Turkish aggression on Syrian territory is a "wrong act" and undermines security and stability in the whole region, calling for banning all arms exports to the Turkish regime.
In a statement posted on the website of the Austrian Foreign Ministry while attending a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Luxembourg, Shalenberg stressed the need for a collective European decision by EU member states to ban arms exports to the Turkish regime in an optimal way. .
France, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Finland and the Czech Republic have suspended the export of any new arms shipments to the Turkish regime because of its aggression on Syrian territory.
