Deep "Peter" brings Germany in the coming days wet cold weather: According to the German Weather Service (DWD) are expected rain showers that move from the west in the east. These are accompanied by strong winds. Especially in the near showers and at high altitudes even storm gusts can occur. The temperatures reach between 11 and 18 degrees during the day.
According to the DWD, the rain front is expected to pull off quickly in the northern half during the Tuesday. In the south, on the other hand, the showers are steadfast, so that it can rain heavily until late at night. South of the Main, meteorologists expect "abundant rainfall" with up to 50 liters of precipitation per square meter.
On Wednesday and Thursday it will be changeable and rainy at temperatures between 11 and 17 degrees. The continuous rain in the south gradually moves towards the Alps.
Promising are the prospects for the end of the week: Under increasing high-pressure influences, especially in the south, the sun comes out on Friday. While people in the south can look forward to a "golden October" with up to 20 degrees on the weekend, the weather in the north remains bad.
