National coach Joachim Loew renounces for the final spurt in the European Championship qualifier despite numerous failures on a return of Mats Hummels. The decision was, however, also expected.
In the squad of the national football team return for the defensive, however, the last injured Matthias Ginter, Jonathan Tah and Nico Schulz back. The Freiburg Robin Koch is again part of the 24-player squad, the Löw has now announced.
The DFB selection will meet in Mönchengladbach next week in Belarus (16 November). Three days later, the team in Northern Ireland receives the final duel in the European Championship qualifiers. It is the last competitive game of the German team before the European Championship 2020, which starts on June 12th.

Löw has to do without defenders Niklas Süle (Bayern Munich), Marcel Halstenberg (RB Leipzig), Thilo Kehrer (Paris) and Antonio Rüdiger (Chelsea) as well as offensive star Leroy Sané (Manchester City) and substitute goalkeeper Kevin Trapp (Eintracht Frankfurt ).
The German national team is in the qualifying Group C tied with 15 points with the Netherlands in second place. Northern Ireland follows in third place with twelve points. The group winner and the group second go to the European Championships. Overall, the Uefa awards 20 out of 24 starting places over the European Championship qualification. Four further participations will be awarded through the Nations League.
BVB defender Hummels belongs like his former Munich teammates Jérôme Boateng and Thomas Müller since the end of March this year no longer the DFB squad. After last strong performances and persistent injury concerns at the DFB was again speculated more about a Hummels return.
