During a festival in São Paulo, the musician and his group were evacuated as a result of gunshots. They apparently came from an attempted robbery near the scene.

American DJ Thomas Wesley, aka Diplo, who was at a festival in the city of São Paulo in Brazil, was forced to evacuate the premises urgently. As the leader of the group Major Lazer went on stage, a series of shots rang out.

The show had to be stopped before it even started. According to information from the Public Security Secretariat of São Paulo, taken up by the local website Uol, the detonations were caused by an attempted robbery. "Initial indications are that the victim responded by shooting the criminal, who was taken to Saboya hospital. A woman was also hit and rescued. The event has been recorded by the police, who will investigate the circumstances of this incident, " reads the site.

This is a tough country .. It's bullet proof, maybe even invincible .. Its definitely blessed .. We were actually ready 15 minutes later to get on and do a show for everyone in Sao Paulo just as we made sure the medical teams were good .. But that's when thunder and lightning started to pour down as if Brazil started to cry. I will see you next year Sao Paulo because you know we love you

No victim is therefore to be deplored, and Diplo seems to have quickly recovered from his emotions. Shortly after the events, he was already sharing photos of this curious evening and other “stories” on his Instagram account.

"It is a difficult country ... It is bulletproof, maybe even invincible. He's definitely blessed ... We were actually ready fifteen minutes later to go on stage and do a show for everyone in São Paulo, " he explained in the caption of the photos. Before adding: "But it was then that thunder and lightning started to fall as if Brazil started to cry. I will see you next year São Paulo because you know we love you. ”
