Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday denounced the " massacres " committed by the Hindus against Muslims in India, where inter-community violence has killed 33 people in New Delhi in recent days.

Clashes between supporters and opponents of a controversial citizenship law in India, deemed discriminatory against Muslims by its detractors, have escalated in recent days into community clashes between Hindus and Muslims in New Delhi. Two hospitals in the area reported on Wednesday evening a cumulative toll of 27 dead in the violence.
