The celebration of Aleppo, the capital of Syrian culture, continued its activities today with the opening of book fairs in the National Library, manuscripts and old books at Al-Adiyat Society, plastic art and sculpture in Al-Assad Art Gallery and a variety art exhibition for children and adolescents in Tishreen Hall in Al-Sabeel district.

Mohammad Hijazi, director of the National Library, said in a statement to SANA reporter the importance of the exhibition held by the Syrian General Book Organization within the celebration of Aleppo, the capital of Syrian culture. Which will continue for a whole month confirming that Aleppo will remain a city of culture, literature, art and writers.

In the Ordinary Society, its Chairman Eng. Tamim Qasmo explained that the exhibition of manuscripts and old books embodies the role of Aleppo as the capital of culture since ancient times, especially after the emergence of printing because the first printing press in the Arab world appeared in Arabic was in Aleppo, referring to the role of the Ordinary Society to highlight part of its own archive Al-Shahba, which has more than six thousand volumes of books, especially the printed books on the occasion of the celebration of Aleppo as the capital of Islamic culture.

In the Al-Assad Art Gallery, Ibrahim Daoud, Chairman of the Exhibitions Committee at the Fine Artists Union Branch, said that the Art and Sculpture Exhibition was attended by 39 artists who presented paintings of their finest works in addition to six sculptures dealing with the cultural renaissance of Aleppo and its urban style and houses, especially in the old city and manuscripts showing the types of Arabic calligraphy. The paintings represent the victories achieved by the Syrian Arab Army against terrorism.

The artist Najdat Qala Ji said that he participated in a painting representing the old neighborhoods of Aleppo, including Bab al-Ahmar, including some of the specialties of Aleppo, which gives an impression of the life experienced by Aleppo in the past time, noting the importance of the celebration to highlight the works and paintings of the artists of this city.

Artist Razan Al-Saadi participated in a painting about the victory of Aleppo and her castle and her sons, including a woman who is scaring in white color, which offers everything to her family and her family during the crisis and until victory. Anemone is a sign of the blood of the martyrs.

Among the visitors of the exhibition, the poet Hassan Zeitoun praised the works in it, which carry beautiful artistic values ​​and distinctive mastery that reflected the real life in addition to representing the picturesque nature, while Father Gabriel Azar pointed out that the exhibition demonstrates the greatness of the big city culturally and culturally and the role of its artists in the embodiment of life in all its components.

In the Tishreen Gallery, children's exhibits and artifacts were varied, showing Jaber Al-Sajour, Director of Aleppo Culture, that the exhibition was held in cooperation with the team of life skills and psychological support of the Ministry of Culture, where the works show the love of the children of the country and their appreciation for the sacrifices of our army heroes in order to defend Syria. And purging Aleppo of terrorism and dark thought.
