With melancholy and a completely harmonious meeting of the citizens, Olaf von Löwis said goodbye to Holzkirchner Mayor. There was also a premiere.

Holzkirchen - After six years as mayor, Olaf von Löwis had a certain melancholy on Wednesday evening in the Oberbräusaal at his last town hall with the main role in the market town. Really realized that he spoke to the citizens for the last time, he only had that a few hours earlier. “I got this shirt with the coat of arms of Holzkirchen six years ago. When I got dressed, I realized that it was my last citizens' meeting in Holzkirchen. There was a certain melancholy, ”he said at the beginning.

At the subsequent lecture on what had been achieved in the past year - geothermal energy, residential construction in the summer field - and the contested - residential construction Tölzer Strasse and Ladehof, new building of the middle school - Löwis was then again composed - and caused a few laughs among the around 130 listeners. After the K case last winter, the community had effectively bought a Ferrari, a track-scooter device that cost almost € 200,000. "This is still virgin, logically," said Löwis.

Citizens' Meeting: toddler swings and senior ticket

The applications from the Holzkirchner were about the smallest parishioners and the elderly. Tim Roll, on behalf of his one and a half year old daughter, campaigned for toddler swings in the community playgrounds. So far, he lacks these in the village. Löwis also had good news at hand. The replacement of normal swings by toddler swings is not a problem. "It is planned to replace the swings in the six larger playgrounds before summer," he announced. At the same time, an inventory analysis for the playgrounds was commissioned and a concept for future design was developed. The delighted Roll: "It would be nice if we could have a really great playground in Holzkirchen in the next few years."

Max Röger campaigned for the other end of the generation leader. He asked for at least half a year to test whether free bus travel for senior citizens would be possible. "It's a kind of appreciation that our older citizens need," he says. And Löwis also reported positive things there. The administration is already working on a template for the municipal council, in other municipalities - most recently Schliersee - there is already a free senior ticket. Therefore, as previously Roll, Röger decided not to have another discussion in the local council.

Citizens' Assembly: First applications during the event

By contrast, Löwis had to answer further traffic inquiries with less pleasant news. A bicycle path from Holzkirchen to Lochham will only be dealt with once the feasibility study of a district-wide cycle expressway has been completed, an internal speed reduction is probably not feasible due to different responsibilities, and a carpool in Großhartpenning would probably not have a great effect. For this, however, it would be checked whether the canceled 9 o'clock connection (we reported) should be resumed.

At the end there was a premiere: For the first time, citizens were able to submit applications and inquiries during the citizens' meeting. But here too Löwis had to put up with issues such as the sidewalk on Rosenheimer Straße, which cannot be extended due to the lack of land. The citizens present then spoke out against the only spontaneous application. The desire of a wooden church worker to be regularly informed by the local council about the implemented and started measures of the local development plan did not find a majority among the visitors.
