In a blatant violation of international resolutions, US President Donald Trump announced today the sinister terms of the so-called "Deal of the Century" aimed at liquidating the Palestinian issue at the expense of the rights of the Palestinian people.
Trump claimed during a joint press conference with the Prime Minister of the Israeli occupation entity Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House today that his 80-page plan is the most comprehensive to date of the settlement.
According to his deal, Trump set conditions for the establishment of a "future Palestinian state" that would serve the entity of the Israeli occupation, including the abandonment of the Palestinians' right to resist the occupation.
In affirming the blatant American bias towards the occupation entity, Trump expressed his administration's readiness to recognize what he called "Israeli sovereignty" over occupied Palestinian lands, declaring that occupied Jerusalem will remain the capital of the usurping entity in disregard for the international legitimacy decisions related to the Palestinian issue and the status of the holy city.
The Palestinians affirmed officially and popularly their categorical rejection of this deal and that it does not give up their legitimate and inalienable rights guaranteed by international laws, foremost of which is the right to self-determination, the return of refugees to their homes, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with Jerusalem as its capital.
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reiterated its rejection of the disastrous deal, stressing that it does not give up the legal principles and rights of the Palestinian people and the need to implement international legitimacy decisions to end the Israeli occupation and establish a Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967 with Jerusalem as its capital.
