Caregivers are at the forefront of the wave of patients currently arriving in hospitals, and their protection is a central issue in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic. According to a statement from the Public Assistance-Hospitals of Paris unveiled Tuesday, 1620 health professionals working in hospitals in the Paris network have been contaminated, at their workplace or at home, since the appearance of the coronavirus in Île-de- France. The average age of infected personnel is 39, but a hundred of them are over 55. Lariboisière Hospital, which on March 27 had 163 Covid + caregivers, seems the most affected. This is undoubtedly because this establishment (like Cochin or La Pitié-Salpêtrière) has set up a very wide screening of its staff and ensures a good transmission of its data to the hygiene service of the hospitals of the AP-HP .
