17,400 families in the southern countryside of Hasaka benefited from food and non-food assistance distributed by the Disaster Management Unit in the Syrian Arab Red Crescent branch.
The relief department official in the organization's branch, Ammar Al-Diri, told a SANA reporter that the targeting included all the families in 60 villages and residential communities in the areas of Mercada and its villages and villages of the southern countryside of Al-Shaddadi and a part of the villages north of Al-Shaddadi in addition to the families of the city of Al-Shaddadi.
Al-Diri pointed out that the relief materials and aid distributed are provided by the International Committee of the Red Cross and the International Federation of Red Cross and Syrian Arab Red Crescent societies, and they included food and health baskets, tins, and children's clothing.
In the coming days, the organization’s branch will target the poor and needy families in the villages and clusters of the Arisha area.
