The workers of the Arcelor Mittal plant in Genoa, present in the factory to commemorate the trade unionist Guido Rossa, killed 41 years ago by the Red Brigades, left the ceremony site as soon as the CEO of Mittal Lucia Morselli started talking, after having addressed whistles of protest. "We must always like companies because we are all on the same side. Guido Rossa has sacrificed his life for a sense of loyalty. Towards what? Towards his company, his job that he will have felt threatened," said Morselli. "I asked myself why a gesture of such great courage, why must companies be protected? I believe because defending them defends freedom and when there is work we all feel freer". The conclusion of the intervention was greeted by a few whistles. The 'Pacta servanda sunt' banner was raised, in reference to compliance with the 2005 program agreement signed with Ilva on maintaining employment and wage levels.
