Tuesday, August 20, a man comes to the reception of the police station of Nantes, with screenshots broadcast on social networks by one of his acquaintances. They contained information found on Facebook profiles, taken at random, of 80 police officers and gendarmes throughout France: their name, their photos, and sometimes their address.
Among them, five policemen exercising at the police station of Nantes, in different departments. One of them told us not to have warned his relatives not to worry them, without being anxious in their personal capacity.
Nazi books and an ax at his home
The investigation, immediately opened in the greatest secrecy to the police station of Nantes, reveals that the suspect has already made threats against gendarmes and police officers.
While the file was sent to the prosecutor's office in Clermont-Ferrand, the suspect, a 46-year-old man, was arrested Saturday, August 24 where he was hosted in a small town of Puy-de-Dome. Nazi books were found at his home, as well as an ax.
The man, with a psychiatric past "quite important" as indicated by the public prosecutor of Clermont-Ferrand Eric Maillaud to the AFP, was led to the court. He was later imprisoned because he had been sentenced to six months in prison on death threats, this time on an individual.
