Tuesday, October 8, around 6:45 pm, a man enters the convenience store on rue du Bassin in Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouët (Manche) and utters death threats against the manager and the cashier. The man is known to both women to be an occasional client.
Carrying a knife on his belt, the man, very agitated, threatens to blow up the store and kill the manager. She asks him to leave the premises and never to show up again in the store.
Twenty minutes later, the gendarmes question him and put him in custody. He will be examined by a psychiatrist. About forty years old, this inhabitant of a commune near Saint-Hilaire-du-Harcouet, had already been violent.
