Oscar 2020: "Joker" leads with 11 nominations

The American Academy of Film announced today (Monday noon) the nominations for the annual Oscars ceremony, which will be the 92nd in its history. "Joker" was the big star of the announcements with no less than 11 nominations - unprecedented for a comic book movie. "There were times in Hollywood" and "1917" received ten nominations each, and "Parasites" stunned six nominations - a huge amount for a non-American film. The Israeli "Leah Tsemel, Attorney", which was shortlisted in the docu category, was left out.

The ceremony itself will be held on February 10, and, like last year, will be conducted without a moderator.
