A British TV documentary about the life of Prince Harry and his wife Meghan caused quite a stir recently. With a surprising openness to the British royal house, both spoke of the burdens of being a British Royal. German television viewers can now look at the dilemma themselves, the ARD will show the film next Monday at 20:15.
The original documentary titled "Harry and Meghan: An African Journey" was less about a trip to Africa than about the British tabloids interfering with the couple's privacy. The German title reflects this thrust now: The ARD broadcast the production of the station ITV as "Harry, Meghan and the press - how it really stands for them" from.
Reporter Tom Bradby accompanied the couple and son Archie during a ten-day journey through Africa a few weeks ago and also shows Harry's visits to the places where his mother Diana was about to die. The film replaces a planned nature documentary on the Andes on Monday evening.
