Moscow-Sana
The Russian Defense Ministry announced today that the air defense system in Saudi Arabia, which includes 88 US Patriot systems, was infiltrated by dozens of drones, including drones that targeted the oil company Aramco recently.
"The Patriot and Aegis missile defense systems do not conform to the stated technical specifications and are not ready to repel a full-scale air attack," a senior ministry source was quoted as saying.
The source pointed out that the US air defense system in Saudi Arabia was unable to repel the attacks on the oil company Aramco because of poor efficiency, pointing out that three US destroyers equipped with air defense systems stationed in the Gulf.
"US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's justification that air defense systems around the world sometimes show a contradictory result can only be accepted if we are talking about a single Patriot system covering a site under attack," the source said.
The Yemeni armed forces announced last Saturday that they carried out a massive offensive operation with 10 drones that targeted two oil facilities belonging to Saudi Aramco in eastern Saudi Arabia and hit its targets accurately.
