The head of Hezbollah's executive council, Hashim Safi Eddin, said that the Lebanese national resistance is strong and is performing its role and confronting the Israeli enemy despite the great difficulties and many targets.
"The United States, along with the Zionist enemy and the sheikhs of treachery in the Gulf, are waiting for resistance to take revenge on them," Safi al-Din said in a speech. "They should know that the resistance is stronger than their illusions and hatreds."
For his part, Hizbullah central council member Sheikh Nabil Qaouk confirmed the rejection of US and foreign interference in Lebanese affairs and said that Washington has entered the line of demanded protest sit-ins in Lebanon and wants to employ it for political gains at the expense of stability and national unity in Lebanon.
"We will not allow American dictations to infiltrate Lebanon and Lebanese institutions, nor will we allow America to achieve at this stage, or at any stage, any political gains," he said.
There have been demonstrations and sit-ins in many Lebanese areas since the 17th of last month to protest the living and economic conditions.
