Saudi Arabia's King Salman bin Abd al-Aziz al Saud opened Tuesday the summit of Arab Gulf leaders in a call for a regional alliance to counter Iran's threats and secure the energy market in the region.

The Saudi king said, in a speech broadcast in the Gulf media, that "our region today is experiencing circumstances and challenges that require concentrated effort to deal with, while the Iranian regime continues aggressive and threatening the security and stability of the region."

The King called on the international community to intervene and prevent the further construction of the Iranian ballistic missile program, which, by hand and King, threatens the security and economy of Saudi Arabia and other Gulf states.

"We'll erase Tel Aviv"

Lebanese Defense Minister Elias Bao Saeb today expressed anger at the words of Iranian Revolutionary Guards commander Special Adviser Mortza Martha Krabani, who threatened to attack Israel from Lebanon.

Saab said: "This is a miserable statement that is not acceptable to us at all. In fact, this was said to be a blatant violation of Lebanon's sovereignty and Anna fits the relationship with the Islamic Republic of Iran."

Karbani, adviser to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards commander, threatened to "destroy Tel Aviv" in response to threats by Israeli officials. In remarks translated by the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs and State, Karbani told the Mizan News Agency that if Israel "makes even the smallest mistake about Iran, we will wipe out Tel Aviv in Lebanon's shooting."
