(ANSA) - VERONA, JAN 21 - "Giorgio Almirante was a leader and made the history of our country and the Italian right in the parliamentary confrontation. It is not a choice made in opposition to anyone". This was stated by the mayor of Verona, Federico Sboarina, about the controversy that arose as a result of granting honorary citizenship to Liliana Segredopo, after having decided, in recent months, to name a street as the foundation of the MSI.
Replies the deputy Pd Alessia Rotta: "With the proposal to dedicate a road to Giorgio Almirante, signatory of the manifest of the race of 1938, and at the same time the honorary citizenship to Liliana Segre, who survived a Nazi extermination camp, the culmination of the most shameful double jokes is reached".
