Weinstein faces some of the most serious charges, including first-degree rape, but could still face a sentence of up to 25 years behind bars

A jury on Monday convicted Hollywood super producer Harvey Weinstein of two sexual assault offenses including third-degree rape. At the same time, he is acquitted of three more serious counts. Despite his partial conviction, he may be sent to prison for up to 25 years.

In addition to the rape clause, Weinstein was convicted of first-degree sexual assault. Following the jury's decision, the judge ordered Weinstein's arrest (67).

The three counts won are two counts of first-degree sexual assault and a first-degree rape. A possible implication of the acquittal is that at least one jury member did not accept or believe some of the testimony of the women during the trial.

A lawyer on behalf of the producer immediately appealed to the appeal court to demand Weinstein's release on sentencing. It should be noted that his legal troubles do not stop here in light of the fact that he is expected to face two more sexual assault cases in the city of Los Angeles, where separate indictments have recently been filed against him.

The conviction also represents a victory for the #metoo movement that emerged following the publication of the investigations on Weinstein's conduct for decades, so he took advantage of his status and attacked women, including well-known actresses in the American film industry.
