The Syrian-DPRK Joint Economic Committee concluded this evening its 11th session at Dama Rose Hotel in Damascus by signing the session's protocol for economic, scientific, technical and commercial cooperation.

The protocol was signed on the Syrian side by the Minister of Finance, Dr. Mamoun Hamdan, and on the Korean side, by the Minister of Foreign Economy of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Kim Yongjie.

The two sides also signed a cooperation agreement in the field of work, employment, social welfare and a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of fish wealth between the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform and the Ministry of Fishing in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in addition to an executive program in the field of higher education between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Higher Education in a committee Education in the DPRK for the years 2020, 2021, and 2022.

The Syrian-DPRK joint economic committee started its work last Saturday with the aim of developing economic cooperation between the two countries and discussing memoranda of understanding and agreements to be concluded between the two sides.
