The Executive Committee of the Sports Federation in Deir Ezzor holds a sports festival

Under the slogan of sport, an action and achievement to keep the banner of the homeland raised, the Executive Committee of the Sports Federation in Deir Ezzor held a sports festival today in the Fatwa Club hall.

The festival included sports shows and artistic paragraphs to introduce sports in the governorate, in addition to honoring the families of sports martyrs, players and coaches who achieved achievements during the past year and a number of old and media athletes in the province.

The head of the committee, Hussein Al-Mazyad, said in a statement to SANA correspondent that the festival comes on the occasion of the celebrations of the athletes' feast of sport and coincides with the victories achieved by the Syrian Arab Army, and it is also the beginning of the return of Deir Al-Zour sport to elegance, activity and recovery.

In turn, the head of the Physical Education Department in Deir Al-Zour, Samer Al-Abdullah, pointed out the importance of school sports and the distinguished participation of school sports teams in the governorate during the festival, which were represented by various sports paragraphs that were admired and encouraged by the attendees.

Salah Rabie, a former Deir Ezzor sport, expressed his happiness at the festival and the honor he honored, which came as a fulfillment touch for him and his fellow athletes in appreciation of their sporting career, wishing those concerned to accelerate the rehabilitation of sports facilities in the governorate so that their teams and teams can resume all sports activities.
