Keith Langford is one of the greatest scorers in European basketball history. Founded in 2004 by the Alfonso Ford Prize for the regular king of the regular season at the Euroleague, the American sniper is one of the only two to have won the title twice (the other being Igor Rakuchevich).

Over the course of his career, he won Eurochelang, was selected as the finals player of the Final Four, and collected championships in Greece, Italy, Israel and the Adriatic League and also entered the VTB League Hall of Fame. Just before the 36-year-old star meets Hapoel Jerusalem with AK Athens, he turned to a lengthy career in a special interview with Israel Today.

Which country do you enjoy most?

"Until 2018 Israel was my favorite, where I enjoyed the most in my life. If you asked Athens before, I would say Israel, but now Athens too."

And the group?

"My greatest career success has been in Milan, both group and personal."

What's the big moment in your career?

"There are a few moments. The first is personally the amazing season in Milan, the second was to lead the Euroleague in points when I was in Kazan."

The disappointing moment in your career?

"The loss in Oaka to Panathinaikos with the Maccabi in the fifth game of the 2012 Euroleague quarterfinals. We won the Israeli Championship, Cup, Adriatic League and we were only one game away from the Final Four. "

Your best memory of the period in Maccabi Tel Aviv?

"The teammates like Shaun James, David Blue, Richard Hendricks, etc. put together an incredible dressing room, which was the funniest in my career."

And what about the short period in Rishon Lezion?

"I was only there for a few months, but that's what I needed at that time. Without this period I would not go back to Euroleague and sign in Panathinaikus. I am grateful for the opportunity they gave me."

In 2007, you played two games in San Antonio with huge stars like Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker. How was it?

"It's very hard to train at such a high level. It takes a lot to play with guys like that and I've done my best. It's an honor to play there, something I will tell my kids and grandchildren."

In 2017, you played in China for a few months

"A time that was not good enough. I was injured, I had a knee surgery and came back too soon, so in general my experience there was a little negative and it was not my favorite place, but these were only a few months."

The five best players you played with?

"Nick Clathes (Panathinaikos) one of the toughest I've ever played with; a talented Kino Colum (Kazan); Alessandro Gentile (Milan) can play at the BBC for his talent and he's one of my favorites; with Devin Smith ( Maccabi Tel Aviv) was fun to play alongside and compete against him and lastly Richard Hendricks (Maccabi Tel Aviv).

The coach that influenced you most?

"Yevgeny Jovin who coached me in Kazan. He helped me move forward mentally and helped me improve the game. He had a lot of experience and I owe him a lot."

You are already 36, when do you want to continue playing?

"I have a mind in my mind about a certain age. I want to conduct myself well and if I can meet this goal and everything goes as planned I will continue as much as I can. It also depends on the groups and things around."
