Syria's Olympic football team will begin an external training camp today in Jordan in preparation for the Asian finals, with two friendly matches with Jordan on Monday and Thursday.

The Olympic team had conducted an internal camp in Damascus, which witnessed intensive training sessions in the sports city of Tishreen, in which he assured the technical and medical staff of the readiness of the players.

In a statement to SANA, the coach of the national team, Ayman al-Hakim, said that the external camp aims to maintain the readiness of the players, especially with the postponement of the competitions of the Premier League.

Al-Hakim added that the team will continue its preparations for the Asian finals in a 32-man squad before relying on the final squad to play in the finals.

Our team in the camp includes Ayman al-Hakim technical director, Ahmed Azzam and Musab Mohammed assistant to the coach, Ahmed Nayef as coach of the guards, Ahmed Zeno administratively and Izzat Shakalo and Mohammed Akash physiotherapists, Emad Al-Amiri media coordinator and Os Mohammed responsible for equipment.

The players are Fares Arnaout / Yusuf Al-Hamwi / Yusuf Mohammed / Mohamed Kamel Kwaya / Anas Al-Aji / Mohammed Mazen Amara / Abdul Rahman Barakat / Yazan Orabi / Zaid Ghurair / Milad Hamad / Laith Ali / Mohammed Malta / Khaled Kurdghali / Kamel Hmicha / Alaa Eddin Daly / Marwan Zidan / Abdel Qader Adi / Zakaria Hanan / Mohamed El Berry / Nabil Koro / William Ghannam / Abdel Mannan Khalil / Antonius Bahdaki.

The Asian U-23 finals will be held in Thailand early next year and the draw for the finals will be held in Bangkok on the 26th of this month. The 16 teams qualified for the finals have been divided into four levels according to criteria related to the results recorded in the last version and qualifying for the current version. The fourth is Iran, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.
