Hundreds of Palestinians participated in a solidarity stand today in the West Bank city of Tulkarem in support of Palestinian prisoners on hunger strike and sick in Israeli jails.
Wafa News Agency quoted the director of the Palestinian Prisoners Club in Tulkarem Ibrahim al-Nimr as saying during the stoppage organized in front of the Red Cross office: And Sami Abu Diak. ”
He called on the international community and human rights institutions to pressure the Israeli occupation authorities to stop their grave violations against prisoners and release them immediately.
Around 6,000 Palestinian prisoners are facing harsh detention conditions in the Israeli Occupation Forces. Some 1,800 of them are suffering from various diseases due to the spread of epidemics and germs.
