(ANSA) - SIENA, JAN 24 - Suspension to the maximum extent: it was decided by the University of Siena against EmanueleCastrucci, the professor who had praised Hitler in an untweet. A disciplinary measure which, however, will have no effect in practice: the teacher has retired since 1 January. This morning, according to a note, the University's Board of Directors "took note of the opinion" of the Disciplinary Board "inconclusion of the preliminary investigation of the disciplinary procedure with regard to" of Castrucci. Rector and Board of Directors, having regard to the opinion, "recognized in the professor's behavior" the extremes integrating a disciplinary offense punishable by the sanction of the suspension to the maximum extent ". The Board of Directors "deemed it necessary to conclude the procedure and define the penalty," the teacher is no longer on duty having requested retirement.
