Midsummer is coming to an end: until Sunday, temperatures are still expected to be very hot and some thunderstorms are expected, before it is expected to be much cooler at the beginning of next week, at least temporarily. "The chapter 'midsummer' seems to close this weekend for this year," said the German Weather Service (DWD). Accordingly, it would be autumnal from Monday.
According to DWD, there can be heavy thunderstorms, especially in the night to Thursday in the west and north, storms and hail are also possible. During the day, partly thundery rain is forecasted for the northwest and north, and sometimes in the south. In the east it gets up to 32 degrees warm.
On Friday it is according to the weather service often cheerful with individual showers and thunderstorms at values up to 31 degrees, on Saturday sunny to cloudy at temperatures up to 33 degrees. Thunderstorms are possible on the Alps. On Sunday, cooler air is already noticeable in the north and west, in the south and east it gets very hot again before there can be heavy thunderstorms in the evening.
From Monday it will be changeable and much cooler at temperatures just over 20 degrees.
