The Netherlands: anonymous silver train full color, including windows and doors, with dozens of spray bottles • At the railroad company angry: "It's not art - it's vandalism"

  • Work with a lot of money. The painted train

Mystery in the Netherlands: A passenger train of the Dutch railway company NS, which was parked at the Wormerbeer station, was painted a bright silvery color throughout the weekend. No message has been left and the Netherlands does not know whether it is subversive art, or just creative vandalism.

Workers of the Dutch railway company in the city of Wormerbir were amazed when they arrived at the train station: an entire train, with eight large wagons, all sprayed in silver. The "artist" or "artists" who did this dubious piece did not leave an inch on a color-clean train, including the windows, doors and aisles. This quirky graffiti seems to have cost him quite a bit of money: dozens of high quality silver spray bottles were discovered near the train station fence. However, the artist or artists performed only half the work: only one side of the train (close to the platform) was painted, while the other side remained in its original colors.

The silver train

As expected, Dutch art companies did not appreciate this burst of art. "The vandalists seem to have penetrated through a loophole they created in the station fence and vandalized the train. It is not an art, it is an anti-social act," said NS. The company announced that it would take the train from activity until it was completely cleaned. The rail company has yet to estimate the cost of returning the train to NS's brand colors, blue and yellow, but it seems to cost quite a bit of money.
