With the participation of 135 national industrial companies, the activities of the monthly “Made in Syria” shopping festival in its 138th session, organized by the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside in cooperation with the imprint of Syrian youth, were launched in Al-Jalaa Sports City in Damascus.
The festival continues until July 7, and the participating companies offer offers and discounts of up to 30% on various food, textile and detergent products.
In a statement to reporters, a member of the board of directors of the Damascus and Rural Chamber of Industry and head of the festival’s organizing committee, Talal Qalaji, explained that the aim of the festival is to market the product to the consumer directly, which contributes to providing discounts to citizens and reducing prices to be in line with purchasing power, noting that the discounts at the festival reach up to 30% compared to foreign markets, which makes the cost reasonable and contributes to controlling the markets.
For his part, a member of the Executive Office in Damascus Governorate, Faisal Sorour, considered that the festival has become a special tradition in times of Eid that contributes to sowing joy, especially as a result of the economic situation that everyone suffers from, pointing out that it is an opportunity to present local products at competitive prices and to present new ideas for various commodities.
