19 people were martyred and 20 others were injured as a result of an attack carried out by terrorists today in the city of Zahedan, the capital of Sistan and Baluchestan Province, southeast of Iran.
The governor of Sistan and Baluchestan, Hussain Mudarres Khyabani, said in a statement today that 19 people were killed in the terrorist attack that took place in the center of Zahedan province, and 20 others were wounded.
In turn, Iranian media sources reported that terrorist gunmen belonging to the so-called Jaish al-Adl terrorist group attacked police stations in the city of Zahedan, and also opened fire towards worshipers after they left the city's mosque, which resulted in the death of a number of people, including the intelligence official in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in the province. Sistan and Baluchestan, Seyed Ali Mousavi, and injuring a number of others.
Brigadier General Ahmed Taheri, police chief of Sistan and Baluchestan, said that a number of the attacking terrorists had been identified and arrested, pointing out that an investigation had been launched into this terrorist attack.
