Elements of the Internal Trade and Consumer Protection Directorates in Damascus and Rif Dimashq governorates seized 197 containers of weight-loss drugs of unknown origin in a travel and tourism office.
A statement by the two directors, a copy of which was received by SANA, stated that the officers seized 197 packages of “food supplements” in a tourism and travel office in Jaramana, including about 12,000 slimming capsules. The seizure of possession and trafficking of unknown materials and the practice of selling medicines without a license was organized.
The statement indicated that the quantity was seized and the violator was referred to the competent authorities for further investigation and knowledge of the source of the seized materials.
