Applause erupted in the Schützen marquee when Frank Reichl finally arrived.
More than 27 hours of continuous running lay behind brave Bavarians.
Munich – This man really deserves the mass!
Frank Reichl traveled more than 150 kilometers just to visit the Oktoberfest.
On Sunday morning (September 25th) the long-distance runner started in front of the old town hall in Deggendorf.
27 hours later Reichl arrived at the Theresienwiese.

He went through all the hardships to collect donations (e.g. in the form of a virtual mass) for the “Schützen-Hilfe” association.
"United with employees and friends of the Wiesn, the association was set up so that people in need can be supported," says its website.
Numerous hobby runners accompanied Reichl on his mission - some up to 45 kilometers long.
From Sunday afternoon, however, he had to do without sporting support.
"It was great that so many ran," the endurance athlete explained to the
Passauer Neue Presse (PNP)
.
During his project, the ultra runner only ate granola and candy bars.

Even the terrible weather - during his endurance run it rained again and again, at night it cooled down noticeably - couldn't stop him.
On Monday afternoon (12.15 p.m.) Reichl entered the Schützen-Festzelt.
Exhausted but happy: "The band announced me and the people were really enthusiastic." Some visitors even spontaneously donated a mass for the association.
The horse's lungs then made their way home to Deggendorf by car.
"When you get out, you feel old," said the Lower Bavarian.
