Despite the compulsory Corona break, Heinzi Fuhrmann is in good spirits: The co-founder of the Munich Zwietracht is looking forward to the new CD for the band's milestone birthday - and to upcoming performances.

Icking – There is always something going on at the Fuhrmann home.

That's why the trumpeter and co-founder of the band Münchner Zwietracht, Heinzi Fuhrmann, particularly enjoys the quieter mornings.

His wife Constanze goes to school and he has the time to compose and practice in his home studio, flanked only by his two dogs, Oskar and Sissi.

Grandchildren eleven and twelve are coming soon

From noon there is a coming and going.

Fuhrmann practically married the four children from his wife's first marriage.

In February, the self-proclaimed “Schwippschapp-Grandpa” is looking forward to grandchildren eleven and twelve.

"It never gets boring here," says the 61-year-old, laughing in conversation with our newspaper in the living room at home.

It's cozy at the Fuhrmanns': in the living room there are old rustic cupboards, a comfortable living area and a large dining table.

Socializing is obviously very important in the family.

The coffee on the table smells inviting, and the winter sun that shines in is an encore.

New studio album produced

Otherwise, the professional musician can only dream of encores. He last saw his bandmates at the Christmas party in November. Due to the corona, appearances in front of an audience are currently out of the question. For this, the musicians went to work in their respective households and produced a new studio album. "The colleagues and friends from Studio Wörle in Baisweil (in the Allgäu, editor's note) pre-produced the basic playbacks, Anderl the accordion and choirs, Chris solo vocals, Danny guitars, Peter drums," says the trumpeter and composer and is happy about the collegial cooperation with the new band members.

He himself contributed the "Bläser" and choirs (together with band co-founder Wolfi Köbele), Benjamin Köthe (the Latin part of Fiesta Caliente) and Klaus Hermannsdörfer the choral part of "Wanns nacha Zeit is" for the new CD.

The exhilarating music is a mixture of original compositions, Schürzenjäger titles and edited folk tunes such as "Soon the sun is rising".

The arrangements were completed in Studio Wörle.

"The technical advances are fortunate in times of Corona," says Fuhrmann.

Recovered and triple vaccinated

He is literally fed up with the topic of the pandemic: “After a difficult course with hospitalization and pneumonia, I have recovered and have now been vaccinated three times. It's time that we got a normal life again." He has no understanding whatsoever for the so-called "Monday strollers", who also roam the Wolfratshausen market: "It really has nothing to do with democracy, and you should get involved ask their place for what and above all for whom they are taking to the streets. ”He also has contact with the fans in this regard. The crowd of discord supporters now extends far beyond the borders of Bavaria.

The musicians are currently represented with different titles on different radio stations.

In the Netherlands, for example, the Munich musicians played their way into the charts on "Radio Edelweiß" with their "Münchner Madel".

In "Radio Schwany" the discord with "Bleimado" is in 10th place on the playlist.

In addition, you can download the new album "30 Years Hot Festivals" from the usual download portals or on the Munich Zwietracht website (www.muenchner-zwietracht.de) or order the CD.

Hope for an end to the pandemic in the spring

Nevertheless, the passionate musician is looking forward to live music. “The first performances had already been booked and then canceled again,” reports the Ickinger by choice, cautiously optimistic and hopes for an end to the pandemic in spring: “We can all practice at home and basically only need one live rehearsal before we come on stage.” When exactly it starts again, however, is still a dream of the future.

For the band anniversary "30 years of Munich Zwietracht" (which, by the way, is derived from "two traditional costumes" and not from "anger") there is another anniversary for the native of Dachau: he has lived in the district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen for a quarter of a century.

"Ten years of that in Icking now," says the family man happily.

After so many years, he feels "at home" in the Isar valley community and no longer as a "Zuagroaster".

What he appreciates about life in the northernmost district municipality is the enjoyment of culture in general and the encouragement of his trumpet students at the Ickinger Music Institute: "It helps a lot to overcome the current crisis."

Happy about awards

The musicians of the Münchner Zwietracht are happy about the just awarded award "The Golden Artist Magazine" just in time for the band's 30th anniversary.

At the same time, they were voted "Artist of the Year 2022" in the party and Oktoberfest band category for outstanding achievements in show business.

The official award ceremony will take place later - due to the corona virus.
