A 35-year-old man is in critical condition after drowning today (Friday) at the lighthouse beach in Eilat.
He was taken to Yoseftal Hospital while undergoing resuscitation.
MDA emergency medic Nachman Shai Rabivo said: "When I arrived at the beach, I saw the man lying on the sand under the umbrella while citizens were giving him initial medical treatment under the guidance of MDA's 101 call center. They told us that they recognized the unconscious man in the water and brought him to the beach.
"We gave him medical treatment and performed advanced resuscitation operations on him that included breathing, massages and giving medication. We put him in an intensive care vehicle and evacuated him to a hospital while continuing to perform resuscitation operations when his condition is critical."
