Tuesday evening, around 11:15 pm, a boat of migrants contacted "directly" the regional operational center of surveillance and rescue (Cross) to request assistance, according to the statement of the prefecture. 4 hours later, the 19 migrants who were on board this engine-broken boat were rescued.
On Wednesday morning, nine migrants were taken care of by rescue workers, then eight other migrants were rescued by rescuers at sea while their boat was also broken down.
Since Saturday, at least 125 migrants have been rescued on the French side while trying to cross the Channel.
