The real estate appraisal profession is one of the basic professions in the real estate development and finance market in terms of real estate appraisal and opinion on the fair value of all kinds.
The number of real estate appraisal experts working in the real estate markets in the governorates and who have obtained an experience certificate from the Real Estate Finance Supervisory Authority is 450 experts. As part of its plan for the current year, the authority continues to train those wishing to obtain a certificate of experience in this field from university degree holders (civil engineering, architecture, economics, and law).
It is not permissible to practice the real estate appraisal profession in accordance with Law No. 8 of 2012 regulating the real estate expert profession, except for those who have obtained a license from the authority and whose name is registered in the register of real estate appraisal experts with it.
As part of the training and rehabilitation plan in the authority for the current year, more than 100 trainees started a training course at the headquarters of the Engineers Syndicate in Damascus in cooperation with the union and under the supervision of a number of professors specialized in real estate development and finance to provide trainees with skills and knowledge in real estate appraisal and qualify them to obtain a certificate of real estate appraisal expert.
Participants in the real estate appraisal courses held by the authority receive an introduction to the legislation regulating the work of appraisal experts, evaluation methods and standards, professional ethics, how to prepare an appraisal report, and previous examples and evidence about that.
Intisar Yassin, director general of the authority, said in a statement to a SANA representative that the authority continues to conduct training courses for real estate appraisal experts to guide them in the correct way in preparing the appraisal report in accordance with the regulatory and legal framework for the appraisal profession and the components of the appraisal guideline issued by it to enable them to work in the real estate market.
Yassin indicated that the real estate appraisal expert who has the authority to prepare evaluation reports must also adhere to the ethics of the profession honestly and honestly. Taken against him ranging from a fine, imprisonment and withdrawal of the license.
The Real Estate Finance Supervisory Authority had announced a few days ago the start date of accepting applications to apply for the real estate appraisal expert certificate, starting from the start of official working hours on August 4th.
