The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population recorded 49 new infections and 4 deaths from the Corona virus during the past 24 hours.
The Ministry's spokesperson, Dr. Khaled Mujahid, said in a statement that the total number of coronavirus infections in the country has so far reached 284,311, and the total deaths have reached 16,528.
The statement indicated that 331 people recovered from infection with the Corona virus were discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of people recovered to 230,699 people to date.
