Weilheim

- Christian Dick is particularly proud of this year's graduates from his school. “You have achieved really great under these conditions,” said the headmaster of the FOS / BOS Weilheim in his speech at the graduation ceremony. The 2020/2021 class is two-fold special: On the one hand, due to the pandemic situation and, on the other hand, because it is the school’s 50th Abitur class. The anniversary could not be celebrated properly due to Corona, but Dick promises: “Postponed is not canceled. As soon as we can, we will celebrate. "

On Friday, however, the high school graduates and technical high school graduates were celebrated first.

In contrast to last year, two accompanying persons were allowed to appear this year so that parents or close relatives and friends could take part in this important day in the life of a young person.

It was possible to divide the celebration into three parts: The first graduation ceremony took place at 10 a.m. in the city hall decorated with balloons, followed by the second at 12.30 p.m. and the third at 3 p.m.

District Administrator congratulates Weilheimer FOS / BOS graduates

District Administrator Andrea Jochner-Weiß came for the last shift and addressed her word to the high school students: “You are something very special. They passed their Abitur in such difficult times. ”The district administrator hopes that many of the graduates will stay in the region or return to the Weilheim-Schongau district after completing their studies. "Because we can do well with talented doers like you," she said.

Student representative Vincent Müller-Heydenreich led through the program of the graduation ceremony together with the SMV coordinators Alexandra Herzog and Gerhard Bertl.

Musically and scenically, the events were framed by a poetry slam and a drum piece by the music teacher Jürgen Weishaupt with the school band.

Weißhaupt included the audience in his “Graduation Groove”, who gave thunderous applause at the end of the piece.

Singing at the graduation ceremony

On the stage there were also several vocal performances by high school students. Sarah Linz, Sina Boujdaa, Diandra Switzer and Sarah Erhard performed a modified version of Seiler and Speer's number 1 hit “Ham kummst”. In a modified form, it said, “When you will free amoil again, hama the best time.” The lines clearly referred to the difficult situation of the students during the corona pandemic. Many events had to be canceled: No high school ball, no Abistreich, no student exchange with Spain and no project days. The list goes on. In the address of the parents' council, Ester Bureik took up the issue of Corona again: "This is really a special Abitur."

The high school students were asked individually onto the stage to hand over their certificates. In the afternoon, the ten best students of the year were honored with a certificate and a book voucher. Two of them, Maria-Zoe Massonne and Benjamin Jung, achieved the dream grade of 1.0. “For me you were all the best. All 253 graduates, ”said Christian Dick at the end of the day.
