An earthquake of magnitude 7.2 shook southern Peru this Thursday, near the border with Bolivia, according to reports from the United States Geological Survey (USGS, for its acronym in English).
The seismic focus was located at a depth of 212 km and the epicenter was located 5.3 kilometers north of Tirapata, in Puno, and 23.9 kilometers west-northwest of Ayaviri, also in Puno.
