As Americans continue to emerge from coronavirus isolation and states lift meeting restrictions, shootings continue to plague the nation, with 10 mass shootings occurring in the United States since Friday night.

Seven people were killed and at least 45 wounded in the shootings, according to the Gun Violence Archive (GVA).

The victims included at least two minors, one 10 and one 15, police said.

The latest shootings are among a streak of violent and deadly weekends the nation has seen in recent weeks.

There were also 10 shootings in seven states last weekend that killed 12 people and injured 57 more, GVA data shows.

GVA reports that there have been 293 mass shootings in 2021 so far.

CNN defines a mass shooting as shooting four or more people, not including the shooter.

A weekend is tracked from Friday afternoon to Sunday night.

On Saturday, four people were injured in a shooting in Newark, NJ, according to GVA.

1 dead and 3 injured in Atlantic City, New Jersey

One person was killed and three others injured in a shooting Sunday night in Atlantic City, New Jersey, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release.

Just after 6 p.m. local time, Atlantic City agents responded to the scene of a shooting and found four men with gunshot wounds.

All the men were taken to a hospital where one died from his injuries, the prosecutor's office said.

Both the ACPO Major Crimes Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department are investigating.
