The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population announced the registration of 818 new infections and 42 deaths from the Coronavirus during the past twenty-four hours.
The spokesman for the ministry, Dr. Khaled Mujahid, stated in a statement that the total number of Coronavirus infections in the country has so far reached 211,307 cases, and the total deaths reached 12,487 cases.
Mujahid indicated that 500 people recovered from infection with the virus were discharged from hospitals, bringing the total of those recovering to 159,999 people until today.
